What is the difference between an accessibility elevator and a wheelchair platform lift?
An accessibility elevator is a complete elevator system with an enclosed cabin and shaft; it connects multiple floors comfortably and independently of weather conditions. A wheelchair platform lift, usually with an open or semi-open carrying surface, is used over shorter vertical distances — for example alongside stairs or at entrance level differences. We determine the right solution together during the site survey, based on the number of floors, usage intensity and the building's structure.
